Intrepid Ella Hands is set to lead a team of volunteers to the top of Snowdon later this month to raise funds to help students with Down syndrome.

The plucky 10-year-old, who was born with the genetic condition, will join friends from Coleshill-based logistics, transport and shipping specialist LTS Global Solutions to raise funds to help secondary school pupils with Down syndrome in the classroom.

Accompanied by parents Dave and Rachel Hands – who are the Managing Director and Head of HR and Communications at LTS Global Solutions – the family will be among a 15-strong team taking part in the challenge.

All funds raised will be put towards a fundraising campaign spearheaded by Dave and Rachel to help secondary school children with Down syndrome to receive the best possible education for a bright and successful future.

So far the Snowdon team members have raised over £1100 in pledges, every penny of which will be put towards the £40,000 appeal which will fund the development of a Secondary Education Programme to give schools all the resources and expertise needed to help students with Down syndrome thrive in the classroom.

Dave said: “Ella has absolutely thrived throughout her primary school years, and we were looking forward to replicating her success in the classroom in secondary school.

“But we met with a number of schools, none of which had the same level of experience or expertise in helping children with Down syndrome to perform at their very best.

“So we are working closely with national parent-led charity Down Syndrome UK to ensure that every secondary school pupil in the country is given the very best start and allowed the same opportunities as their counterparts in the classroom by equipping all schools with training, resources and ongoing support in subjects such as numeracy, literacy, communication and social interaction, to ensure all teaching staff are equipped with the right skills to work with children with Down syndrome in their care.”

The programme is being devised by Becky Baxter, a speech and language therapist with almost two decades of experience in working with children with Down syndrome. A similar programme devised by Becky for early years and primary teaching and support staff on behalf of Down Syndrome UK has been a huge success.

Altogether Dave and Rachel Hands are hoping their various fundraising efforts over the coming months will raise the £40,000 needed to get the programme off the ground. Launched just four months ago their fundraising appeal has so far raised £17,000.

The Snowdon climb will take place on August 30th.

BRCGS AA GRADE ACCREDITED LTS GLOBAL SOLUTIONS EXPANDS LOGISTICS OFFERING TO FOOD INGREDIENT AND AMBIENT FOOD SECTORS https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/blog/brcgs-aa-grade-logistics-food-ingredient-ambient-food-sectors/ Thu, 24 Jul 2025 07:46:19 +0000 https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/?p=10068 Identifying untapped potential in the food ingredient supply chain, LTS Global Solutions is expanding its operation into this fast-growing sector after securing BRCGS AA Grade accreditation for the first time at the end of last year.

LTS Global Solutions, a leading provider of logistics, warehousing, and freight services, now offers food manufacturers, processors, and ingredient importers a fully scalable and compliant logistics solution tailored to the unique demands of the sector.

“Securing the BRCGS AA Grade enables us to tangibly demonstrate our commitment to the highest standards in food safety, handling, distribution, and storage,” said Dave Hands, Managing Director at LTS Global Solutions. “For ingredient suppliers and ambient food businesses alike, this gives confidence that we have the infrastructure and compliance systems to support their needs reliably and at scale.”

Through detailed market research, LTS identified a gap in logistics services for high-grade ingredients—such as chemical sugars, milk powders, and spices—where traceability, audit-readiness and timely delivery are critical components of the supply chain. While supermarket logistics is somewhat saturated this strategic move allows LTS to offer specialised support to a growing niche.

“We fully understand the complexity of modern food supply chains,” added Dave Hands. “Our ability to flex and adapt our offering means we can deliver exactly what this sector needs: compliant, transparent, and cost-effective logistics.”

From global freight forwarding and customs clearance to BRC-accredited warehousing and UK-wide distribution, LTS delivers end-to-end supply chain solutions. Its international offices, including hubs in Hong Kong and India, position the business to manage complex global sourcing with precision.

Operating from a 131,780 sq. ft. Prologis site at Hams Hall, LTS provides controlled environments, batch traceability, and full HACCP compliance—helping food manufacturers meet quality assurance and recall readiness requirements.

“Our modern infrastructure and advanced controls mean we’re not just compliant—we’re future-ready,” said Dave Hands. “Achieving AA status required minimal adjustments thanks to our existing ISO, FORS, and DVSA Earned Recognition credentials. We’re already working toward our next goal: achieving an AA+ rating that reflects continuous audit readiness.”

LTS Global Solutions Achieves DVSA Earned Recognition https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/blog/lts-global-solutions-achieves-dvsa-earned-recognition/ Tue, 20 May 2025 08:25:31 +0000 https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/?p=9644 LTS Global Solutions, a leading logistics, transport, and shipping company based in Coleshill, Birmingham, has been awarded the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Earned Recognition status.

A voluntary initiative that allows organisations to prove they meet stringent driver and vehicle standards, DVSA Earned Recognition showcases an operator’s commitment to safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Currently, there are only 131 listed transport operators across the UK within the DVSA scheme.

Launched in 2018, the scheme was designed to provide businesses with a more efficient way to demonstrate compliance with DVSA regulations. By reporting key operational data, operators can showcase their commitment to safety and best practices.

It also means that operators which have earned recognition are less likely to have vehicles stopped at the roadside or have DVSA staff visit their sites.

The criteria on which LTS was measured include maintenance, drivers’ hours compliance, and any fixed penalties or prosecutions incurred by the operator.

Attaining the accreditation follows a series of significant milestones for LTS Global Solutions, which has invested heavily in every aspect of its operation over the past 12 months.

In late 2024, LTS Global Solutions partnered with Aquarius IT to enhance their data collection, analytics, and reporting capabilities.

By implementing Aquarius IT’s suite of DVSA-accredited solutions, including ClockWatcher Elite for tachograph analysis, the digital Driver Walkaround Check, and the Asset Maintenance system for managing Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs), MOTs, and other critical records, LTS was able to streamline its compliance processes.

Rather than having a convoluted paper trail the system’s Document Management Portal allows the company to store all policy updates and procedures into one singular app, allowing it to manage all areas of driver and fleet compliance seamlessly.

Dave Hands, Managing Director of LTS Global Solutions commented: “Achieving DVSA Earned Recognition status for the first time is a tremendous accolade and we couldn’t be prouder to be joining such an exclusive group of transport operators as those listed on the DVSA scheme.

“By becoming accredited, we are now able to tangibly demonstrate our commitment to delivering exemplary standards, which furthermore allows us to give our customers and partners confidence that we operate to the highest level in ensuring safe and compliant transport services.”

The announcement follows a series of other achievements which includes gaining a BRCGS AA grade – again for the first time – for storage and distribution, securing

FORS Bronze and Silver accreditations, reflecting its dedication to best practices in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection within fleet operations. Re-certification of ISO 9001 which demonstrates their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Dave Hands continued:  “These latest achievements also underpin the hard work and dedication of the LTS team as well as the value of our recent investment has made into the business – most notably in aligning ourselves with Aquarius IT, who have been instrumental in helping us streamline our compliance processes and enabling us to digitise and centralise key operational data.”

ENCOURAGING START FOR INCLUSIVE EDUCATION CAMPAIGN https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/blog/encouraging-start-for-inclusive-education-campaign/ Mon, 12 May 2025 09:18:35 +0000 https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/?p=9542 25% of fundraising target reached within days of launch

A groundbreaking campaign to transform secondary education for students with Down syndrome has already reached 25% of its £40,000 fundraising target – within just days of its official launch.

Led by Midlands-based logistics company LTS Global Solutions in partnership with national parent-led charity Down Syndrome UK (DSUK), the campaign aims to ensure secondary schools across the UK are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and resources needed to create truly inclusive learning environments for students with Down syndrome.

The ambitious project will fund the development of a comprehensive Secondary Education Programme, designed to launch in September 2026. The programme will offer secondary schools accredited training, practical tools, and ongoing expert support in areas such as literacy, numeracy, communication, and social engagement—giving every student with Down syndrome the opportunity to reach their full potential.

The campaign is a personal mission for Managing Director Dave Hands and his wife Rachel, Head of HR and Communications at LTS who live in Rugby, Warwickshire. Their daughter, Ella, who has Down syndrome, is due to start secondary school in 2026. While her primary education has been overwhelmingly positive, the couple were shocked by the lack of understanding and support in many of the secondary schools they visited.

“On several visits, we were met with a look of fear,” said Dave. “We want Ella—and thousands of children like her—to have access to the same quality of mainstream education as their peers. This programme is about giving schools the tools and confidence to make that happen.”

Developed by Dr Becky Baxter, DSUK’s Director of Education and Speech and Language Therapy, the programme will support every member of school staff—from teachers to lunchtime supervisors—through an affordable subscription-based online portal featuring training modules, downloadable resources, and live expert sessions.

Rachel added: “Children with Down syndrome can thrive in mainstream education, but only if staff understand how to support them. This initiative will change lives.”

With early momentum building and a quarter of the target already raised, the team is calling on individuals, businesses, and communities to help bring this vision to life.

Nicola Enoch, Founder and CEO of Down Syndrome UK, said: “There are around 4,000 students with Down syndrome currently in UK secondary schools. With the right training, schools can make a lasting difference—not just to students’ education, but to their future opportunities in life.”

Driving Change: LTS Global Solutions’ Campaign for Inclusive Secondary Education https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/blog/driving-change-lts-global-solutions-campaign-for-inclusive-secondary-education/ Wed, 19 Mar 2025 09:37:32 +0000 https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/?p=9494 Midlands-based logistics, transport and shipping specialist LTS Global Solutions is spearheading a fundraising campaign to help secondary school students with Down syndrome receive the best possible education for a bright and successful future.

The company has partnered with national parent-led charity Down Syndrome UK to ensure secondary schools with students with Down syndrome are fully equipped with the right knowledge, skills and resources to provide the best possible setting for inclusive education.

Launching the campaign on World Down Syndrome Day (21st March 2025) LTS Global Solutions is seeking support to raise £40,000 to support the cause in readiness for a September 2026 launch.

The money will fund the development of a comprehensive Secondary Education Programme, equipping schools across the country with the right resources and expertise to help unlock the potential of every student with Down syndrome.

Managing Director Dave Hands and his wife Rachel, who is Head of HR and Communications at the Coleshill-based firm, were inspired to do something through their own experience in trying to find a secondary school for their 10-year-old daughter Ella, who has Down syndrome.

With a highly positive experience throughout her mainstream primary education the couple had naturally anticipated the secondary education offering would be on a par.

But having visited a selection of secondary schools ready for Ella’s transition in September 2026 the couple say on most visits they were met with a look of fear.

“We want Ella to be able to flourish and have the same quality of mainstream education as her older brother Connor,” said Dave. “And she is one of thousands who would be positively impacted by this UK-wide education programme.”

The programme will offer accredited training modules, resources and ongoing support in a wide range of subjects and areas including numeracy, literacy, communication and social engagement.

It will be devised by Dr Becky Baxter, DSUK’s Director of Education and Speech and Language Therapy, who has almost two decades of experience in working with children and young people with Down syndrome.  Last year DSUK launched an Early Years Development Programme and a Primary Education Programme which have proven successful.

Nationally, secondary schools have relatively little experience and expertise of supporting students with Down syndrome, so this pioneering comprehensive programme will have a significant impact and is aimed at every member of staff within schools, from teachers and teaching assistants to lunch time supervisors.

For a nominal annual subscription fee an online portal will provide practical insight and guides on working with students with Down syndrome. There will be accredited training modules, practical resources, downloadable information, as well as regular online drop-in sessions and seminars from experts.

Rachel added: “Children with Down syndrome have a range of needs which can prohibit their learning. If they are not properly engaged they can become disruptive. They cannot cope. But with the right support from teachers they can go on to achieve greatly. And this programme from Down Syndrome UK gives them the best chance to do so.”

Dave added: “We really want to give something back and by partnering with Down Syndrome UK on this initiative we can work towards ensuring quality education and support not only for children with Down syndrome but their teachers, families and indeed their future work colleagues.”

Nicola Enoch is the Founder and CEO of Down Syndrome UK.

She said: “The Down syndrome community is relatively small. With 800 babies born with Down syndrome each year there are about 4,000 in secondary education in the UK at any one time. With the right skills and knowledge in place schools can play a major part in helping pupils with Down syndrome thrive, giving them every opportunity to flourish in their education and in their future employment opportunities and potentially in independent living. With Dave, Rachel and the LTS Global Solutions team and supporters on board, secondary schools will have a much greater chance of helping their staff broaden their skills and to give every one of their students with Down syndrome the best secondary education.”

It is an approach which has paid off leading to a flurry of new business wins, with further tenders in the pipeline, laying strong foundations for another successful year.

The company, which last year celebrated its 25th anniversary, is driven by partnership trust and passion – an ethos which is reflected in the company’s day to day operation.

Enjoying year on year growth against a backdrop of continuous investment, LTS Global Solutions is on course to end its current financial year (end March) on a £12 million turnover – representing a 14% growth,

Looking ahead ambitious plans for growth are already in place with the company setting its sights on achieving £15m in 2026 and setting a target of £20 million within the next three years.

To help drive this growth, the forward-thinking company has appointed a new sales director and senior business development manager set to play a pivotal role in helping the company to achieve its goals.

The past 12 months have been something of a whirlwind for LTS with investments exceeding £2.2 million.

New for 2024 included a state-of-the-art compliance and fleet management system from Aquarius, the company’s first Volvo FM 4 x 2 electric vehicle, a new Volvo Aero, a fleet of new DAF trucks plus two new global offices in Hong Kong and Delhi.  A further milestone was also achieving its first BRCGS AA accreditation opening up new market  opportunities for LTS.

It has however not been without its challenges as Managing Director Dave Hands explains: “We have had an exciting year and whilst our transport and shipping pillars have performed extremely well warehousing has been more challenging.

“However, having now gained our BRCGS AA accreditation and also with our new sales team in place we are forecasting a 40% growth in our warehousing business this year.

“We have laid strong foundations over the past 12 months which we are confident will stand us in good stead helping us drive continued growth.”

A business driven by partnership success and passion the company strives to achieve excellence across the business ensuring it provides an optimum level of service to its customers.

Committed to a programme of continuous improvement, Managing Director Dave Hands is eager to see his senior management team grow, develop, and be mentored. To support this, the company has introduced a management development tool, Strategy 135, designed to measure performance and drive leadership growth.

Sustainability too remains a top priority for the company, aligning with its broader commitment to responsible business practices and long-term success.

A long-time leader in delivering logistics and supply chain management services, LTS Global Solutions operates from its state-. of-the-art, 133,000 sq. ft Logistics Centre of Excellence facility at Prologis Park, based at Hams Hall in Coleshill.

Established in 1999 and undergoing a successful management buyout in 2020 the company has an impressive pedigree, priding itself on delivering end-to-end transport, logistics and supply chain solutions.

In addition to its new electric truck, LTS Global Solutions today also operates a modern, 60-strong fleet of up to 44 tonnes, all of which are Euro 6 compliant.

Its efforts to reduce its carbon footprint saw LTS Global Solutions form a new partnership with internationally recognised and net zero specialists Planet Mark. The partnership has led to LTS Global Solutions gaining Planet Mark Business Certification, which certifies and recognises progress in reducing emissions across Scopes 1 and 2 and core elements of Scope 3.

FORTOAK STRENGTHENS OPERATIONS THROUGH STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP WITH LTS GLOBAL SOLUTIONS https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/blog/fortoak-strengthens-operations-through-strategic-partnership-with-lts-global-solutions/ Mon, 24 Feb 2025 10:25:34 +0000 https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/?p=9452 Fortoak, the UK’s leading supplier of till rolls, labels and packaging has reaped the rewards from its partnership with LTS Global Solutions, a Birmingham-based supply chain solutions specialist.

Over the past year, the wholesaler has gone from strength to strength, which has been underpinned by both organic growth and the recent acquisition of Pad Printers, a prominent name in the manufacture and supply of restaurant pads and paper products across the UK and Ireland.

With Fortoak importing between 18 and 20 containers per month from the Far East, the business turned to LTS Global Solutions for an end-to-end logistics solution that would enhance operational efficiency and streamline its processes.

Fast forward to the present day and LTS provides seamless inbound logistics solutions on its behalf, managing the landing of all containers, as well as clearing and transporting pallets to Fortoak’s racking space located at LTS’ facility at Coleshill, Birmingham, where it occupies 8,600 sq. ft. of warehousing space and a designated pick and pack area of 1,169 pallet spaces.

The company’s outbound logistics operation is similarly managed through a combination of LTS’ pallet network, TPN, as well as two dedicated LTS trucks which are liveried with Fortoak branding, along with several other external final-mile partnerships.

LTS’ expertise has enabled Fortoak to deliver a market leading 99.2 percent on-time, in-full delivery rate to its diverse base of over 1,000 active customers across various verticals including retail, hospitality, petrol forecourt, and merchant services operations who are supported both directly and through a network of distribution partners.

Such is the depth of their partnership, that since moving into LTS’ facility in 2022 Fortoak has also benefited from having three office spaces on-site which houses 12 staff.

The site’s scalability and versatile infrastructure were key factors for Fortoak, offering the wholesaler a unique opportunity to collaborate more efficiently with LTS. Equally, the flexibility of the facility provides the support needed for future growth, allowing the business to expand with minimal friction.

With the facility being carbon neutral in construction, it aligned with Fortoak’s sustainability commitments.

Looking ahead, Fortoak Managing Director Simon McCouaig believes that with further growth on the horizon, its relationship with LTS places the company in a strong positioned to achieve on its ambitious goals over the coming years.

Simon McCouaig commented: “Over the past year, our growth has really shown just how important it is to have a reliable logistics partner – something we have luckily found in LTS. Their ability to scale with us has been pivotal in keeping us on track and ensuring we deliver exactly what our customers need, without stumbling at the first hurdle which is easily done.

Alex Vergopoulos, Fortoak’s Chairman, also added “LTS manages the logistics and storage side of our business, and we manage the orders, take care of the pick and pack operation as well as the final-mile distribution. It’s a true partnership. Being able to work out of LTS’ impressive site is also hugely beneficial as it enables us to have a greater overview of our entire operation.

“From our shared commitment to sustainability to the way we operate, the synergy between our two companies is what makes our relationship run like clockwork. In many ways they have become a vital cog in our operation, and we are confident that they will continue to play a significant role in our expansion plans as we look to develop our operation organically and through further acquisition.”

Dave Hands, Managing Director of LTS Global Solutions also said: “Flexibility is at the core of everything we do at LTS, and is a significant enabler in ensuring our clients and partners have complete confidence in our ability to provide the right tailored support they need to grow alongside us.

“Our relationship with Fortoak could perhaps be considered as slightly unconventional as they not only have space in our building, we are also their logistics partners as well as their customer as we purchase both labelling and packaging products from them.

“We literally work hand in hand and it is a relationship which is paying dividends for both organisations.

“We are delighted to be a part of Fortoak’s continuing success story and look forward to continuing to support them on their growth journey.”

LTS Global Solutions Expands Global Footprint with New India Hub https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/blog/lts-global-solutions-expands-global-footprint-with-new-india-hub/ Wed, 11 Dec 2024 13:18:33 +0000 https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/?p=9382 LTS Global Solutions, a leading UK-based global supply chain and freight forwarding specialist, has opened a new regional headquarters in Delhi, India.

The company’s new office will act as a central hub for its operations within the subcontinent, where it will provide seamless logistics and freight forwarding services for customers both existing and new across the region, enabling the seamless movement of goods to or from India back to the UK.

This latest expansion is part of LTS Global Solutions’ broader strategy to enhance its global footprint and solidify its position as a trusted partner for businesses, having only recently opened a regional office in Hong Kong, China earlier this year.

It is also close to establishing a third international hub, located in Dubai UAE, which it expects to formally open in early 2025.

Strategically located at the centre of the Trans-Indian Ocean routes which connect European countries in the west to East Asia, India serves as a pivotal trade hub for businesses across the globe, especially for those operating in the United Kingdom.

With the UK looking to actively strengthen ties with the world’s leading economic powers to drive growth, LTS’ new office opening comes at a poignant time for the business.

Only recently, Prime Minister Kier Starmer announced that fresh trade talks between the two countries will relaunch in the new year which would seek to strengthen economic ties.

Currently ranked as the world’s fifth-largest economy, it stands as one of the UK’s most significant trading partners and one of the fastest-growing economies globally. It is on course to becoming the third largest economy in the world by 2050.

Its strategic location offers efficient connectivity between major global markets, making it an ideal gateway for trade between Europe, Asia, and beyond.

For Mirza Baig, Global Business Director at LTS Global Solutions, expanding the company’s reach into India presents an exciting opportunity to tap into a rapidly growing market where there is a growing demand for sophisticated logistics solutions.

Mirza Baig commented: “As one of the world’s fastest growing economies India represents a unique prospect for us to provide a more efficient and localised logistics solution which is tailored to the unique needs of the region.

“By establishing a presence in key strategic markets, we ultimately aim to achieve three things: facilitate smoother cross-border operations for customers and build a localised network to help provide tailored logistics solutions for businesses on a global scale. This will allow us to better serve our customers, regardless of location, giving them the comfort that they will receive the same high-quality service that LTS is known and respected for.

“Broadening our reach into this new territory therefore means we are not only just expanding our service capabilities to customers but also solidifying our position as a key player in the global logistics sector.

Mirza continued: “Ultimately, we are excited to bring our expertise to the region and to support businesses in navigating the complexities of international trade, helping them to grow, succeed and thrive in this vibrant and expanding marketplace.

“Our new office is yet another exciting milestone achieved in recent years, and we are looking forward to continuing on this journey of global expansion, which has already seen us open a regional headquarters in Hong Kong and will also see us open a new office in Dubai early next year.”

LTS GLOBAL SOLUTIONS LAUNCHES WAREHOUSE AS A SERVICE OFFERING https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/blog/lts-global-solutions-launches-warehouse-as-a-service-offering/ Tue, 26 Nov 2024 09:42:10 +0000 https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/?p=9146 Leading logistics and supply chain management providers LTS Global Solutions has launched its Warehouse as a Service (WaaS) offering amid increasing demand for flexible warehousing solutions.

A relatively new concept in the logistics industry, WaaS provides businesses with on-demand warehousing services without the need to invest in or manage their own storage facilities, offering total flexibility and scalability to customers new and existing while helping them to cut down on cost.

With no up-front down payments and flexible contracts, WaaS enables companies to store their products and access them as needed, paying only for the space and services they use.

Birmingham-based LTS Global Solutions has launched their new service during a time where they are witnessing an increased need from customers to scale their warehousing requirements, either up or down, due to seasonal fluctuations or unprecedented surges in demand.

As the Red Sea crisis continues to cause ongoing turbulence for international trade, coupled with enduring conflicts in the Ukraine and the Middle East, LTS is similarly noticing a growing trend in businesses looking to invest in, and hold, more stock to ensure they have enough inventory to maintain their operations and mitigate the fallout from any unforeseen delays.

Following the seismic growth of the online retail market, and with more businesses looking to actively engage in cross border commerce, the need for flexible and scalable warehousing solutions to handle fluctuating inventory levels and rapid order fulfilment is also playing a part in the growing need for WaaS.

Such is the demand for this new mode of warehousing operations, that the WaaS market is tipped to skyrocket from nearly 670 million dollars from 2023 to nearly four billion dollars by 2032.

Having invested heavily into a new 131,780 sq. ft site in 2022, as well as state-of-the-art warehousing technology, Dave Hands, Managing Director at LTS Global Solutions, believes that the company is well placed to meet the evolving storage demands of the market moving forward.

Dave commented: “The decision to launch our Warehouse as a Service offering has been made as a direct result of LTS Global Solutions listening to the contemporary needs of our customers, as well as responding to the changing demands of the marketplace as a whole.

“Recent global events, the ever-changing face of customer buying habits and the rapid rise of e-commerce is collectively re-shaping logistics as we know it and as a by-product, this has accelerated the need for more adaptable warehousing solutions. Our WaaS offering mitigates the fallout from such complexities by combining flexibility and scalability into one cost-efficient package that revolves around the customer’s needs and caters to unexpected paradigm shifts within the wider marketplace.

“With talk of 128 million sq. ft of warehouse space also being at serious risk of going off the market over the next few years according to Knight Frank, and another 404 million sq. ft by 2030 due to non-compliance with EPC standards, the UK could be sleepwalking into another warehousing capacity crunch. Therefore, we are proactively putting the necessary provisions in place to ensure that our customers are well-serviced regardless of the latest state of play and whatever market condition.

Dave continued: “Through leveraging our state-of-the-art facility, 10,000 pallet spaces and cutting-edge technology, our WaaS offering underscores our ability to provide short and long-term storage solutions that are built upon delivering on-demand flexibility, putting us in a strong position to service our customers now and in the future.”

LTS GLOBAL SOLUTIONS TEAMS UP WITH AQUARIUS IT TO REVOLUTIONISE FLEET AND COMPLIANCE PROCESSES https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/blog/lts-global-solutions-teams-up-with-aquarius-it-to-revolutionise-fleet-and-compliance-processes/ Mon, 18 Nov 2024 10:27:11 +0000 https://www.ltsglobalsolutions.com/?p=9345 LTS Global Solutions has partnered with Aquarius IT to streamline and digitalise its compliance and fleet management processes.

Aquarius, who for the last 20 years has developed a strong reputation for developing fleet compliance and data management solutions, has helped thousands of operators of all sizes, transform the way they manage vehicle maintenance / inspection and driver activity.

After seeking out a solution that was capable of consolidating multiple aspects of its operations into a single, efficient platform, LTS Global Solutions looked to the expertise of Aquarius, a trailblazer in digital compliance and fleet management systems, to integrate critical functions such as compliance reporting, vehicle maintenance, and workforce management into one comprehensive digital system.

LTS has adopted Aquarius IT’s tachograph analysis software, ClockWatcher Elite, allowing the company to manage all areas of driver and fleet compliance as well as driver data with UK domestic and EU regulations.

As a part of this, the logistics solutions specialists also implemented Aquarius’ digital driver walkaround checks, enabling them to transition from paper-based processes to a more efficient and accurate online system, as well as the IT specialist’s maintenance management system to handle Preventative Maintenance Inspections (PMIs), MOTs, services, and other essential records.

Rather than having a convoluted paper trail the system’s Document Management Portal allows the company to store all policy updates and procedures into one singular app, enabling staff to access important company information such as driver handbooks at a click of a button.

To provide greater transparency and efficiency in managing its workforce, Aquarius’ Time & Attendance solution was included to effectively monitor and manage everything employee related from shift times to annual leave.

Celebrating 25years in business this year, this latest investment into the business follows one of many that has been made in recent years as the business looks to instil excellence at every level of the organisation.

Dave Hands, Managing Director at LTS Global Solutions commented: “The road transport industry has changed dramatically in recent years and the need for transparency and demonstration of compliance is  key.  It is a time-consuming process creating trails of paperwork, however due to the digital age we now live in, that’s no longer the case.

“By converting to Aquarius, we’ve been able to streamline processes by bringing all our compliance, fleet, and workforce management requirements under one single comprehensive system. What this has done for us as a business is truly significant. From monitoring time attendance, walk around checks or tachograph analysis the level of integration which our new solution offers allows us to operate more efficiently and with greater transparency by significantly reducing downtime and administrative overhead – especially in terms of being forced to wrestle with multiple systems. This level of access to critical data also means we can respond faster to any issues and ensure our fleet stays compliant while out on the road.

“Whilst this was a significant overhaul switching to a single system, Aquarius made the transition as easy as possible for us.  Their team provided thorough training and ongoing support, and now, with everything consolidated in one place, we’ve not only streamlined our processes but also future-proofed the business by embracing a more modern, efficient, and scalable solution. In many ways it’s a game-changer for us, and we’re excited to see the long-term benefits unfold in the months and years to come.”

Subir Gupta, Aquarius IT Sales Manager said:  “The team at LTS Global Solutions are fantastic to work with. They were really positive and engaged throughout the whole onboarding process; feeding back ideas and some great commercial development suggestions which we’ve since deployed in the software. It is also pleasing to see how they have fully embraced the power of our software and its connectivity, including using our open API to integrate the driver and vehicle data into other software used in the business, which will reap even more benefits.  We look forward to more sharing and creativity, and a long, successful partnership.”
