{"id":9851,"date":"2025-06-03T12:18:36","date_gmt":"2025-06-03T11:18:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ltsglobalsolutions.com\/?p=9851"},"modified":"2025-08-13T16:33:35","modified_gmt":"2025-08-13T15:33:35","slug":"case-study-fortoak-and-lts-global-solutions-a-strategic-logistics-partnership","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ltsglobalsolutions.com\/blog\/case-study-fortoak-and-lts-global-solutions-a-strategic-logistics-partnership\/","title":{"rendered":"Case Study: Fortoak and LTS Global Solutions \u2013 A Strategic Logistics Partnership"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Client Overview<\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Fortoak, one of the UK\u2019s leading supplier of till rolls, labels, and packaging has gone from strength to strength in recent years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a strong market presence, the company has experienced significant growth through organic expansion and the acquisition of Pad Printers, a well-established manufacturer and supplier of restaurant pads and paper products across the UK and Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Challenge<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>With Fortoak importing between 18 and 20 containers per month from the Far East, the company needed an efficient, end-to-end logistics solution to streamline its operations and to cater to increased growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The goal was to enhance operational efficiency, improve supply chain visibility, and ensure the seamless movement of goods from port to customer delivery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Solution<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortoak partnered with LTS Global Solutions, a Birmingham-based supply chain specialist, to manage its logistics requirements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>LTS now oversees:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The landing, clearance, and transportation of all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ltsglobalsolutions.com\/shipping\/ocean-freight\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"289\">inbound containers<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Storage within LTS\u2019 warehousing facility in Coleshill, Birmingham, including 1,169 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ltsglobalsolutions.com\/logistics\/warehousing-storage\/pallet-storage\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"9767\">pallet spaces<\/a> and a designated pick and pack area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Outbound logistics through a combination of LTS\u2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ltsglobalsolutions.com\/transport\/pallet-network\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"281\">pallet network<\/a>, TPN, and two dedicated Fortoak-branded trucks, along with multiple external final-mile partnerships.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Results<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Since partnering with LTS, Fortoak has achieved:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A market-leading 99.2% on-time, in-full (OTIF) delivery rate to over 1,000 active customers across sectors such as retail, hospitality, petrol forecourts, and merchant services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A highly scalable logistics operation that supports future growth and expansion with minimal disruption.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Enhanced collaboration between Fortoak and LTS, facilitated by the co-location of 12 Fortoak staff within LTS\u2019 facility at Hams Hall, Birmingham.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alignment with Fortoak\u2019s sustainability goals, as LTS\u2019 facility was constructed with carbon neutrality in mind.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Comments From Key Stakeholders<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Simon McCouaig, Managing Director of Fortoak commented:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOver the past year, our growth has really shown just how important it is to have a reliable logistics partner \u2013 something we have luckily found in LTS.
